Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress who was born and raised in Orange County. At the age of 5, she left Morocco for California. Her breakthrough came in the year 2015 when she graduated with a degree from University of California San Diego. Pernas began her acting career through small parts on NCIS and Leverage. The Young and the Restless gave Pernas the part of Marisa. The actress, who quit The soap after 2016 got the part of Catalina as a regular on Jane the Virgin. The model who speaks four languages has been seen in The Brave, The Green Ghost as well as Secret Society of Second Born Royals. From 2019 to 2020, she was Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly reported in May 2020 that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley from The Young and the Restless. This was after Chrishell Stause (the wife of the This Is Us actor) was able to break up with him in the month of November Pernas and Hartley began to date. News came out in May 2021 that Pernas and Hartley were recently married with a private ceremony.
