Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is a model and actress from the USA. After a brief period as a model for fashion before moving into acting, appearing as guest stars on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. Her film debut came in the 1997 dramatic film Nowhere. Through American Beauty and American Pie the actress gained more recognition due to her character. After that, she starred as a co-star in Loser (2000) with her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). The film also featured her in the independent drama Spun and the 2004 thriller film Trauma. In 2004, she was a guest on HBO's show Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008 she was part of several films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh or the film adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads to promote Lancome Paris Adaptive as well as has appeared in numerous fashion-related blogs as well as magazines like Vogue. Suvari has been a loyal supporter as well as an activist of the respected African relief group, the African Medical and Research Foundation. In addition, she's involved in charitable organizations fighting breast cancer and End Violence Against Women.
